This post is the seventh in a series of postings, containing examples of SharePoint WebParts that anybody can build all by themselves. To read all posts in this series, or to get started with the RSSBus WebPart, go here. #7 – Search Email History One of my good friends here recently asked me to give him an easy way to quickly bring up a list of email correspondence to and from a particular email address over the past 6 months. This way, if he is assisting someone on the telephone or email, he can...
I've been using Google Calendar Sync for 2-3 months now, and I absolutely love it. In the past I always kept my calendar in Outlook at work, and sometimes it was a pain to check that from home. Now items in my Outlook calendar are automatically synced with my Google calendar (and vice versa). I haven't come across a single bug or annoyance. I like how Google Calendar is very smart about new entries. If I create a new entry like "7pm, dinner at Angus Barn", Google automatically recognizes the time...

Note that with these changes, you still won't be able to just double-click on the attachment and run it (this is good), you'll have to save it to disk first. Make sure you really...
Notes on importing and exporting events between Outlook 2003 SP2 Calendar and Google Calendar. Exporting: You can export from Outlook to CSV. You can export from Google to iCal, XML, or HTML formats. Importing: You can import to Outlook from iCal format, but there are issues here:- If you use file->Import, no problem.- If you double-click the file, open it from IE, or drop the file onto Outlook, only the first item in the calendar will be imported. You can import to Google from CSV or iCal format....
